But I've tried. I just don't understand it, and I don't know where to find an EXTREME NOOB Torturial :-(

I love doing complicated things and working with them to make cool stuff, but I need to start somewhere easy...

If you want to learn retexturing, then try this one!

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...uring_Made_Easy

I found this one a very simple way to learn how to retexture something! :) I'm not very good yet, but it got me started.

Except for me, I'm obsessed with clothes and armors models.. but.. uhm, now that I remember, the first tutorial I've read was this. Useful if you use Blender and would like to make a cuirass that doesn't look like smooth skin even if you're a noob.
It seems we're all marked by our first tutorial. biggrin.gif

Well, no one has posted in this topic for a while, looking at the last post date, but I thought I'd post anyway.
I use Blender and I think that I am decent at it. I'll post a place where I have some screenshots of what I've done in a minute.
I'm better at modeling static objects and I've never tried clothes, so I'll have to check out the cuirass tutorial.
I have never modeled for Oblivion, so I don't really know how to make the textures or whatever, but I don't think that it would be that hard to learn how to do it.
Here is a page on my website showing some of what I've done: elec0.com/blender.php.

If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

I did the voicing for the Redguards.

If you need testing let me know. I can dedicate any playing time to testing this if you wish. I am a Principal Software QA Engineer by trade. I will submit full test reports just like I do every day of work.

If not, can you at least post an update on the Bethsoft forum and let everyone know what the status is?

Wow, in doing the voices for redguards, do you mean, like, the standard in oblivion? Or in a mod that had a main redguard. If its the first, then its an honor to have a prof voice actor on here. We talked with wes johnson (lucien lachance) about some flashback-y kind of stuff for lucien, but he says he's bounded by contract not to put his voice in mods. If your not bounded, then we will have to think about it. I know for sure there are some reds in the dbc addon, and it would blow peoples minds to hear an official version of them.
thanks for posting!

I don't modle or texture, per-se, but i DO retexture using existing meshes(mosly bcause Photoshop Elements wont let me set Alpha channel colors so my normal maps end up extreamely shiny)

Here are some examples from my private DarkBrotherhood Retexture mod...

I'm sorry, Dalsenni, but standards for quality have risen since you were last here. Back then I was a green modeler/texturer, but after I've been on a college specialising in 3D and Texturing for a year I know what to look for.

Frankly, it's not good enough, Dalsenni. You should do some more, raise your skill level, and come back here when you think you've gained more experience.

I WOULD have better quality and originality like you're looking for, i just don't have the funds for a college education OR a 600 buck full version of Photoshop. The Elements edition has been kickin' my ass in the .dds department ever since I nabbed the Invidea plug for normal maps...

I'm not recommending it, but I've heard that you can get Photoshop free from some places. *cough*torrent*cough* (I'm not recommending it, but just saying that it's out there.)
